KBI’s Pathology Laboratory offers a full range of diagnostic services with state-of-the-art technology and sophisticated modalities. We routinely use various pathology outcome measures to support our pharmacological efficacy and safety in various NHP disease models. Our capabilities include necropsy, gross pathology examination, organ weight measurement, frozen sections and fixed tissue preparation, light microscopy, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescent staining and other specialized staining procedures. The capability of our Pathology Laboratory is exemplified in KBI’s successful services for the evaluation of liver steatosis and fibrosis in a number of international NASH studies which have contributed to the translation to clinical trials.
